A native of Rosario, Argentina, Alejandro earned his degree in clasical clarinet from Universidad Nacional de Rosario (Argentina) in 1995 and his degree in Performance as a jazz saxophone player from Berklee College of Music (Boston,Massachusetts) in 2003, where he studied with jazz masters Joe Lovano, George garzone, Eddie Tomassi, Dino Govoni, Frank Tiberi, Shannon Leclaire, Dave Santoro, among others. He taught saxophone and clarinet at the Municipal School of Music in Rosario, Argentina from 1992 until 2000, Ruth Halmiton, Etta Garret Music & Arts Academy (saxophone teacher) in Dorchester, MA and woodwind teacher at Salomon Schechter school in the USA. As a performer he worked as professional saxophone player in Argentina and the USA for more than 15 years, playing at Rosario's jazz festival for 9 consecutive years; Beatown Jazz Festival; Boston, MA; International Festival in Lowell, MA; Latino Festival in Worcester, Peabody, Lowell, Salem, MA, international saxophone Festival in San Jose de Costa Rica, Taichin Jazz Festival, Saphoo Jazz club and Roxi Jazz in Taiwan. Alejandro played with the picante jazz orchestra from Boston and New york where he performed at the MIT, Tufts University, Democratic National convention, Latin Nights at Boston Harbor Hotel. He also played with the Beantown Swing Big Band; Eguie Catrillo Big Band; Pablo Ablanedo Octet; Joe Cook; Brian Walkley's Band's, . He has played gigs with musicians like Bob Gullotti; Leo Genovese; Baron Brown; Phil Grenadier; Boby Gay, Bandoneon Player Raul Jaurena, American piano player Andrew Page at America Club in Taipei; Blues artist Joey Gilmore; Costa Rican saophone player Aldo Salvent. Alejandro recorded his last CD "Green Light" at PBS (Peter Kontrimas Studios) at Westwood, MA with Phil Grenadier on trumpet; Leo Genovese, piano; Nick Falck, drums and Demian Cabaud on bass. Since December 2007, Alejandro Chiabrando is endorser and manager for Latin America and South Europe for PMauriat Saxophones. Alejandro has been touring ad performing masterclasses in Mexico, Venezuela, Argentina, Chile, Brazil, Spain, Italy, Portugal, Peru, Colombia, EEUU, Costa Rica, Panama, Taiwan, China, Thailandia, Japan, Hong Kong.
